Reasons to Support
Us
As you know, needy
families and individuals in our community go without proper food, shelter,
and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including
low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce.
While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and the elderly are
at the most risk, and the children are the clients we serve at the House of
Love Group Home, Inc.
We invite you to
visit the House of Love Group Homes to see what we are doing in the community
as well as looking at our future plans. With your generous donations and
support we can continue to service the youth within our community. We
have many needs at the homes so please prayerfully consider volunteering or
making a financial donation. With the generous support of people like you, we
will be able to help feed and provide shelter for the children in the group
homes. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated.
If you would like to make a difference in the teen’s lives, join us in
becoming a volunteer or a mentor at House of Love Group Home. We currently
are in need of volunteers for the following areas:
- Adopt a Teen/Big Sister
Program (One-on-one mentoring,
spending quality time with the youth, getting to know the residents,
weekly visits and spending time with the residents outside of the group
home, etc.)
- Career Speaker (coming in the home and sharing your career with the
youth)
- Birth Day Party Celebration (celebrating the resident’s birth day with them)
- Arts and Crafts
- Giving a cooking class
- Promotion of House of Love (office work, help with mailings, phone calls, etc.)
- Creating News Letter
- Working on computers
- Activity Coordinator (helping with planning activities, researching
activities for the residents to participate in, etc.)
